The North Carolina Department of Insurance has partnered with Prometric and Vertafore (formerly Sircon) for a comprehensive continuing education solution. Continuing education services are accessed through Vertafore's Sircon website (www.sircon.com). You may use this website and Prometric's website (www.prometric.com/en-us/clients/ce/pages/ncceprod.aspx) for your continuing education needs in North Carolina.
The Sircon website offers licensees the ability to search for available course offerings, approved courses, and approved continuing education providers, as well as the ability to view individual continuing education transcripts in order to verify current continuing education status.

You may now check the status of your continuing education compliance. For a free continuing education transcript, use the Look up Education Courses/Credits service and then click on "Continuing Education Transcript Inquiry." Please bookmark this page for future reference.
You may request a 30-day extension no sooner than 30 days before the end of your compliance period. The "Request for Continuing Education Extension" form and $75.00 fee must be received by Prometric no later than the last day of your compliance period. Please click here to apply for an extension. Click on the link for "Services" on the left. Then click on "CE Exemption or Extension Request". Enter your email address and check the box for "The application is for a continuing education extension." Then follow the prompts to pay the $75 fee.
If you unable to comply with continuing education requirements due to military service or long-term medical disability, you may request to be waived from your continuing education requirements. Submit a copy of your deployment orders from the United States Department of Defense; or a written statement from your licensed physician with the "Request for Medical or Military Waiver" form.
