Agents Must Meet Long-term Care Insurance Training Requirements
Agents who want to sell, solicit or negotiate long-term care insurance must first complete an initial eight-hour approved course. The deadline for completing the course was Sept. 1, 2008, however, you can still complete the initial eight-hour requirement. A list of approved courses and schedules is available at www.sircon.com or by calling 1-800-532-2170. Agents must also complete a four-hour approved course during each compliance period thereafter to remain compliant.
