Vertafore Wins Four ACORD Awards

Industry leader receives recognition for implementation of standards and advancements in agent-carrier connectivity

BOTHELL, Wash., and PEARL RIVER, N.Y. – May 18, 2009 — Vertafore, an industry leader in insurance agency automation and real-time connectivity for agents and insurance carriers, today announced that it received four ACORD Awards during the annual awards luncheon at the ACORD-LOMA Insurance Systems Forum, held on May 17 at the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel in Orlando, Fla.

Vertafore's products were honored with awards in both the Accomplishment and AUGIE Awards categories, as designated by the Pearl River, N.Y.-based standards body, ACORD. These awards highlight the contribution of Vertafore and its products to the insurance industry, and specifically recognize the company’s commitment to improving how agents and carriers conduct business through ease-of-use products backed by real-time connectivity and governed by ACORD standards.

Vertafore products received two ACORD Achievement Awards, including:

  1. The Early Adopter eForms Award, which Vertafore won for its InStar product, is given to "any software vendor, intermediary/distributor, or insurer which is using one of the standardized forms developed from June 2008 to April 2009."
  2. The Innovative Implementation Award, which Vertafore won for its Download Certification Tool. The solution helps companies "implement XML standards in unique, exceptional and innovative ways that provide value to the organization."

Vertafore products also received two AUGIE Awards, including:

  1. The Real-Time Implementation & Active Agencies Award, which recognizes companies with real-time sales and service implementations, was given to Vertafore for its work involving AMS 360, InStar, Prime, AfW and Sagitta, all of which support personal, commercial and direct bill download, and TransactNOW.
  2. The Commercial Lines Download Award, which "recognizes organizations that are implementing Commercial Lines Download based on the ACORD AL3 Commercial Data Quality and Download Implementation Guide 236 - 1.2," was presented to Vertafore for work involving AMS 360, InStar, Prime, AfW and Sagitta, all of which support commercial lines download.
