Georgia Expands Existing Relationship with Sircon to Streamline Insurance Licensing and Regulatory Management

Sircon for States™ Provides the Automation Platform to Bring Efficiencies to Georgia Department of Insurance and Stakeholders

OKEMOS, Mich., May 13, 2009 — Sircon Corporation today announced that the Georgia Department of Insurance has expanded its relationship with Sircon, having signed a multi-year agreement to use Sircon's market-leading Sircon for States™ Web-based regulatory solution. Currently, 18 state insurance regulators rely on Sircon software to automate regulatory processes.

The Georgia Department of Insurance has worked with Sircon Corporation very successfully since 2004. Under the terms of the new multi-year agreement, Sircon’s responsibilities include replacement of several of the department’s legacy systems to allow consumers, insurers, and agents to do business with the department in a more efficient and streamlined manner.

Phase one of the Georgia Department of Insurance’s Sircon for States™ implementation was completed in December 2008, and automated the department’s company admissions, document tracking, producer licensing and continuing education functions. Phase two of the project is expected to be complete in May 2009, and will include implementation of the Sircon for States™ rate and form, consumer complaints, enforcement case and regulatory examination modules.

Georgia Department of Insurance leaders say the department's vision is to have a well-trained workforce utilizing state of the art technology to facilitate professional regulation, greater coordination and uniformity among state regulators; greater public access to services; and more fire safety information that results in a consumer friendly, competitive marketplace.

The Georgia Department of Insurance will leverage Sircon's technology to manage and administer insurance regulations relating to enforcement case actions, complaints, company licensing, and producer data. The Sircon for States™ platform will dramatically increase the number of online services the Georgia Department of Insurance provides by connecting insurance carriers, producers, education providers, brokers, agencies and state regulatory agencies through the Sircon network.

"We are very pleased to work with the Georgia Department of Insurance," said Gary Gummig, Vice President of e-Government and Business Development for Sircon. "We look forward to introducing Sircon's expansive network of carrier, agency, education-provider and individual-producer subscribers to new online services the Georgia Department of Insurance will be able to offer as a result of this partnership."
